Paris

Paris is a truly magical city. A place that has a vast artistic and culinary history. The streets which were walked by Napoleon, Voltare, Hemmingway, Henri Cartier Bresson, Marie Antoine Carême, Matisse, Picasso and more. Cafés where that inspired great works of literature, paintings and photographs and where intellectual discourse has always been the norm.

So many different parts of the city to explore from the Marais to the Latin quarter, Montmatre to the Champs Elysees. Each area has it's own charm, it's own history and a vibration that calms the nerves. When I walked through Paris I saw all around me a culture that is full of life. A culture where work is done either for the love of it or to enable one to live life, to enjoy good food, good wine, good friends and good conversation.

And let's not forget the romance of the city. Walking along the Seine river at sunset or sitting in the park behind Notre Dame with your lover enjoying the surroundings something to eat. It's a place where there is a love of food and culture and a reverence for the things that came before.

Here are some images that reflect my feelings of Paris, this jewel of Europe.
